Reading at the beach
If you are looking for some great reads for this summer, check the top of the right-hand column just below my list of various publications. There is my list of my top five most favorite books of all time. If you have read any of them, feel free to comment whether you liked or disliked any of these books right here in the comments section. Others would love to know what you think about these five books before they buy or borrow from the library. If you haven't read any of them, in my opinion, these are the best of the best . Enjoy! Reading is ultimate luxury.

  2. I LOVE the classics. We have much to learn from them. Speaking of the classics, I also like C. S. Lewis' Screwtape Letters. I really should add that to my list too.

What are your favorite classic book reads?

  9. Mikey, I see I've found another booklover! Yes! I recently purchased a Color Nook (ereader) from Barnes & Noble as a college graduation gift for my daugher. I just had to unpack and test it out before I sent it along to her. It was pretty awesome!

You can read books, magazines and newspapers on it. Plus, you can go online just like a laptop anyplace you can pick up a wifi connection. But it is entirely touch screen. The color aspect is nice as some ereaders are just black in white. But, I particularly enjoyed testing out the internet, checking email, typing on the touchscreen keyboard and playing games like chess, sudoku and even crossword puzzles. It's pretty cool.

In the long run, you can buy books for about $5 to go on it and keep your library on your Nook rather than on a shelf. I've collected thousands of books over the years and it becomes way too much after a while.

Anyway, thanks for connecting with all my friends here on Malinda Winkle. It's nice to have you!

  12. Wow! Thanks so much. This is my first blogger award. I feel very honored.

I never could get into Mere Christianity, but some of his other works are pure genious, in my humble opinion. He definitely goes down in the list of greatest writers ever.

Thanks again for the Versatile Blogger Award.
